ADVERTISEMENT FOR FREE PORTABLES

The Mammoth Unified School District has nine (9) portable classrooms located at Mammoth Elementary School site that are of insufficient value to defray District’s cost of a sale and which are not needed by any non-profit or charitable organization. To avoid demolition costs, the District will give the portables to any entity or individual that satisfies the following conditions:
1. The portables must be taken in “AS-IS” condition. Purchaser will be required to sign a release agreement that releases District from any and all liability associated with the removal and use of the portables.
2. Purchaser must remove the portables from Site between June 16-June 23. Purchaser will be responsible for any cost to remove the portables. Any portable that is not removed by this date will be demolished.
3. If more than one person expresses interest in the portables, the District will determine who gets a portable by drawing lots.
4. Any person or entity interested in the portables must contact the District on or before June 14, 2021 by 4:00PM to claim a portable and schedule its removal with the District.

INVITATION TO BID

1. Notice is hereby given that the governing board (“Board”) of the Mammoth Unified School District (“District”) will receive sealed bids for the following project:

Demolition and Removal of Portables at Mammoth Elementary School (“Project” or “Contract”)

2. Sealed Bids will be received until 10:00 a.m, June 4, 2021, at the District Office, located at Mammoth Unified School District, PO Box 3509/ 461 Sierra Park Road, Mammoth Lakes, CA 93546, at or after which time the bids will be opened and publicly read aloud. Any claim by a bidder of error in its bid must be made in compliance with section 5100 et seq. of the Public Contract Code. Any bid that is submitted after this time shall be non-responsive and returned to the bidder.

ADVERTISEMENT FOR FREE PORTABLES

The Governing Board (“Board”) of the Mammoth Unified School District (“District”) has found nine (9) portable classrooms (“Portables”) at Mammoth Elementary School to be of insufficient value to the District to defray the cost of a sale, and authorized the District to either donate the Portables to a charitable organization, or dispose of the Portables. (Ed. Code, § 17546(c).)
The District invites any and all non-profits or other qualifying charitable organizations to accept the Portables from the District. Any qualifying organization must arrange for the removal of the Portables at its sole cost and expense.
Any interested organization shall contract Brooke Bien, Chief Business and Financial Officer, at 760-934-6802 x513 or bbien@mammothusd.org for information regarding the Portables by May 27, 2021.
This advertisement does not constitute a formal offer or contract for the Portables. The District reserves the right to donate the Portables to any organization accepting the Portables, and to set the terms of any such donation.
