June 24, 2019

Husky Club welcomes you to our Childcare program webpage.  We will have our summer program and registration packets are ready.  We have our first change.  Moto Cross will be Wednesday, June 26, 2019.

Last week we visited the Mammoth Lakes Police Department for a barbeque, viewed The Secret Life of Pets 2, and swam and played at Whitmore Pool.  We also planted seeds, read, and played math games.  This week we will hike to Shady Rest Park on Tuesday.  Wednesday we will visit Mammoth Mountain's Moto Cross and watch the youth competitions.  We will plant our planters and raised beds with tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, watermelon, and other plants.

Our summer and vacation program begins at 7:30 AM with free play.  Weather permitting, we go outside at 8:00 for gross motor free play.  At 8:45 we call the children back inside for morning meeting to discuss the day and the highlights for the week.  At 9:00 we offer a morning snack.  After snack the younger children are separated from the older children and curriculum is designed for each group based on development and interest level.  Each group has separate instruction and staff to ensure age appropriate peer interaction and encourage friendships. Husky Club provides opportunities for children’s growth academically, socially, emotionally, physically, and in many other areas.  This is accomplished through monitoring of free play and daily organized centers and activities.   Lunch is at 12:00 and we prepare a hot lunch that children may purchase for $3.25.  Afternoon snack is at 3:00.   Husky Club closes at 5:30 PM.

The After School program is open from 1:45 PM to 5:30 PM.  Husky Club provides a healthy snack at 2:40 PM.  We have scheduled activities including homework, arts and crafts, gross motor activities and games, academic curriculum (science, math, and literacy), character education, and free play.

All students must re-register for the 2019-2020 year.  We cannot take children on field trips if the family does not have a current registration packet.

Please note that the schedule is subject to change due to circumstances beyond our control and to ensure your child's safety.  If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call me.
