June 11, 2018

Welcome to our Summer Program.  Our summer information is posted and updated every Thursday.

Parents please remember sign ups are due the Thursday before the week of service.  Payment is due prior to care.  There is no credit for missed days, although you may move days within the same week.  Per state regulations, please sign your child in and out daily with a legible signature.  If you do not note the time for drop off and pick up, I must charge you for the full day.

Our program begins at 7:30 AM with free play.  Weather permitting, we go outside at 8:00 for free play.  At 8:45 we call the children back inside for morning meeting to discuss the day and the highlights for the week.  At 9:00 we offer a morning snack.  After snack the younger children are separated from the older children and curriculum is designed for each group based on development and interest level.  Each group has separate instruction and staff to ensure age appropriate peer interaction and encourage friendships. Husky Club provides opportunities for children’s growth academically, socially, emotionally, physically, and in many other areas.  This is accomplished through monitoring of free play or organized centers and activities daily.   Lunch is at 12:00 and PM snack is at 3:00. .  Husky Club closes at 5:30 PM.

During the summer we stay on campus on Mondays and Thursdays.  The children may bring their bakes or scooters and a helmet.  Tuesdays has us walking to local parks or the movie theater (Tuesday June 19--Incredibles 2).  Wednesdays are our hiking days.  We utilize the district transportation and drive to local hiking areas.  Fridays are water days.  We use the school bus to go to Whitmore Pool, Bishop Pool, or June Lake Beach.  Children in Kindergarten and first grade may not go in the large pools.  They play in wading pools.  We have additional staff and lifeguards to ensure everyone is safe around water.

Please note that the schedule is subject to change due to circumstances beyond our control and to ensure your child's safety.  If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call me.
