REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS AND QUALIFICATIONS CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT SERVICES FOR RENOVATION, MODERNIZATION AND EXPANSION OF EXISTING SCHOOL FACILITIES

The Mammoth Unified School District (“District”), through this RFP/Q process, seeks a qualified construction manager who has experience in multiple construction delivery methods for the construction and modernization of the District’s Elementary, Middle and High School facilities (“Project”). These improvements will be funded by Measure B, a $63,100,000 general obligation bond approved by voters in June 2018. RFP/Q will be due to the District Office by 10:00 AM on September 24, 2018:

REQUEST FOR APPLICATIONS FOR APPOINTMENT OF MAMMOTH UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT CITIZENS’ BOND OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE FOR RENOVATION, MODERNIZATION AND EXPANSION OF EXISTING SCHOOL FACILITIES

Because the Mammoth Unified School District ("District") elected to pursue a bond election under the provisions of Proposition 39, State Law requires the District to establish a Committee appointed by the District's Governing Board. The Committee's purposes are:
• To actively inform the public concerning the expenditures of bond revenues.
• To review and report on the proper expenditure of taxpayer money for school construction.
• To report to members of the community whether the District is in compliance with bond expenditures requirements according to paragraph (3) of subdivision (b) of Section 1 of Article XIIIA of the California Constitution.
Duties of the Committee will include:
• Monitor whether Bond funds are spent only on projects listed in the Bond Project Lists.
• Monitor progress of Bond projects.
• Receive and review copies of the annual performance and financial audits of Bond projects as required by California State law (Proposition 39).
• Provide information to the public on the progress of Bond projects and expenditures of Bond funds.

Parent Meeting

MUSD, in partnership with our local agencies, will present an update regarding the incident that occured last week which caused the District to close schools. If you have questions or just want to learn more, please join us on Tuesday, May 8th at 5:30 pm in the Mammoth High School MPR. Representatives from Mammoth Lakes Police Department, Mono County District Attorney's Office, Mono County Behavioral Health and Mammoth Unified School District will present information and plans to ensure the ongoing safety of our students and staff.
El Distrito Unificado de Mammoth, en asociación con nuestras agencias locales, presentará una actualización sobre el incidente que ocurrió la semana pasada que causó que el Distrito cerrara las escuelas. Si tiene alguna pregunta o simplemente desea obtener más información, acompañenos el martes, 8 de mayo a las 5:30 p.m. en el MPR de Mammoth High School. Los representantes del Departamento de Policía de Mammoth Lakes, la Oficina del Fiscal del Condado de Mono, la Salud Conductual del Condado de Mono y el Distrito Escolar Unificado de Mammoth presentarán información y planes para garantizar la seguridad continua de nuestros estudiantes y personal.

Daily school attendance is key to helping each child realize their dreams for the future. Every day missed is a day of instruction missed that can not be recovered. Missing just two days of school per month can negatively affect a child's academic progress and their ability to ultimately graduate.
