BUILD YOUR UNDERSTANDING OF LGBTQ INCLUSION

  • New Research Examines the Diversity of LGBTQ+ Youth
This resource highlights the importance of understanding transgender and nonbinary identity in our work. It highlights how the movement has moved into one focused on intersectionality, gender identity, and the idea that identity can be a spectrum. 1 in 4 LGBTQ youth identify as nonbinary, many of whom are people of color. In the past, the LGBTQ+ movement has focused more directly on issues surrounding sexual orientation, including marriage equality and legal protections from discrimination. As we have achieved more progress in these areas and acceptance has increased for gay, lesbian, and bisexual individuals, more resources have been directed to increase acceptance and inclusion for trans/nonbinary community members, who face higher levels of discrimination, violence, and lack of acceptance.

  • What’s Your Pronoun? Strategies for Inclusion in the Workplace/School
